U2 then played “Vertigo” for show closing. After the end show credit, the band sticked around to play two more songs. Grohl was the last of the trio to unveil his finished artwork, which Corden praised for adding “an Easter theme” to the model’s bare form. Grohl also spoke about his love of the band  Sepultura. Russia punk band known as being jailed for fight for human right against their government Pussy Riot landed on the U.S. TV show for the first time on The Colbert Report, after been released December last year. The band members Nadya Tolokonnikova and Masha Alyokhina is Colbert’s guests on the night accompanied by their language translator. In their brief interview, Alyokhina and Tolokonnikova explained why they had been thrown in jail for speaking out against Vladimir Putin’s anti-gay regime and talked about Sochi Olympics boycott. Dave Grohl talks intimately in 90-minute with Off Camera – Watch

Dave Grohl, a rock musician, a singer-songwriter, a Foo Fighters frontman, a Nirvana drummer, a director, recently get intimately talk in nearly 2 hours of an interview with Off Camera, a talk show with photographer/director Sam Jones.

Off Camera spoke with Grohl at length about his various projects. It’s one of the most intimate interviews he’s granted in ages, touching on Sound City, his eclectic approach to songwriting, his work with supergroup Them Crooked Vultures, the birth of the Foo Fighters and more. Grohl also gave a useful advice to young bands/musician. Hear some quotes of his advice:

Just play live. Honestly, if you’re good at what you do people will recognize that. I really believe it, I really believe that going out playing good songs live as a great live band will make you successful. I really think it will, it doesn’t matter if you’re at the shithole down the street or your on the side stage at Bonaroo or you’re headlining Lollapalooza. If you’re a great band with great songs people will notice it. That’s it, that’s all it is, it’s that simple. Fuck product placement and fuckin labels and A&R people and all that bullshit, it doesn’t fuckin matter, I swear to God, it doesn’t matter. If you back that up with the idea that just playing those great songs in your great live band is enough award for you, then you’re fuckin set. But you’ve got to be bad ass, you’ve just got to be really good. It’s the other things that make up for your musical inability.”

The National recently stopped by The Colbert Report as a guest and their frontman Matt Berninger sit with Stephen Colbert for a little chat. 

The clearly nervous singer Matt Berninger had to speak on camera to Stephen Colbert, who proceeded to murder him for being a boring interview. The band got a chance to redeem themselves, though, when they played the stately, surging Trouble Will Find Me track “Graceless.”

Davey Havok interview on Carson Daly 5/14/2013

AFI and Blaqk Audio frontman Davey Havok recently stopped by Last Call with Carson Daly for an interview. He majorly discusses his recent written novel, Pop Kids, with Carson Daly.

A relatively short interview, Havok reveals that the concept of Score Massi’s character came to him in the fall of 2008, influenced heavily by contemporary youth culture.

Watch Iggy Pop Talk Being Shirtlessness & Perform On Stephen Colbert

Iggy Pop stopped by The Colbert Report for a brief talk. An almost-shirtless Iggy Pop recalls driving into a Christmas tree orchard after falling asleep at the wheel. Instead, Iggy, was just his leathery acid-casualty self during his interview segment with Stephen Colbert, and he gave his impression of Link Wray’s “Rumble” guitar riff and explained his frequent shirtlessness like this: “The Pharaoh never wore a shirt.” He and his Stooges also performed a song from their new album Ready To Die, “Job.” Iggy did not waste any time leaving the stage and charging around in the audience, and he got away with saying “shitty” on TV, because he is who he is.
