Last night’s The Tonight Show, Host Jimmy Fallon impersonated an iconic folk-rocker, the ’70s Rolling Thunder Revue-era Bob Dylan singing Drake’s “Hotline Bling.” This version, which adopted the melody and chords from Dylan’s own “Positively 4th Street,” bore little resemblance to Aubrey Graham’s original, but then, the real Dylan doesn’t even stay true to his own songs in concert. Bob Dylan is preparing for next release of his massive box sets The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12. The collection focuses on the mid-'60s, and now an alternate version of his 1966’s Blonde On Blonde song “Visions Of Johanna” has gotten a video. The alternate version more rock-oriented than the original one and the video compiled an archival footage of the singer is intercut with late-night shots of New York City as well as cryptic images – snakes in the bed, fake eyelashes in water, the moon, sex, death and destruction. The video directed by Nick Cave and INXS collaborator, John Hillcoat. Watch the alternate music video below.

Take 1 of “Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window” featuring Mike Bloomfield on lead guitar, Paul Griffin on piano, Harvey Brooks and Bobby Gregg on bass and drums, and Al Kooper on the celeste, recorded during the sessions for Highway 61 Revisited. Bob Dylan appearing in a new commercial for IBM. The clip features Dylan chatting with IBM’s AI computer system Watson — Watson tells Dylan that it’s read all of his lyrics to improve its language skills and that “analysis shows your major themes are that time passes and love fades,” to which Dylan replies “That sounds about right.” The two also consider writing a song together, and Watson shows off some sick robo-scatting skills.
