Bob Dylan is going to release a massive box sets called The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12 next week. It collects outtakes, rehearsal tracks, and alternate versions of songs from Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde On Blonde, and it comes in a whopping 18-CD collectors edition, a 6-CD deluxe edition, and a much more manageable 2-CD Best Of edition. A few tracks have already surfaced e.g. “Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window” and “Subterranean Homesick Blues,” and now NPR is streaming a full-length sampler of tracks from the 6-CD version.
