Watch Disclosure Bring Lorde & Sam Smith To SNL

British electronic duo Disclosure served as the musical guests on last night’s Elizabeth Banks-hosted episode of Saturday Night Live. The duo brought along a pair of collaborator that appear on their new LP Caracal, Lorde and Sam Smith, to perform “Magnets” and “Omen,” their respective tracks off of the album. Through out Lorde performance also featured a brief tribute to Paris, as before Disclosure delved into “Magnets,” the stage was lit up in the “bleu, blanc et rouge” of the French flag. Earlier in the episode, Saturday Night Live stood in solidarity with those in Paris by replacing the cold open with a solemn tribute to “the city of light.” Watch all in the videos below.

Sam Smith – “Writing’s On The Wall” Music Video

Sam Smith has just released a video for “Writing’s On The Wall,” his theme for the upcoming James Bond movie Spectre, co-written by Jimmy Napes and featuring production from Disclosure. Directed by Luke Monaghan, it features a sharply-dressed Smith looking emotional in various locations around Rome, where the movie was filmed, along with some footage from the actual movie of Daniel Craig. Disclosure is riding high after the release of their second studio album Caracal. The British duo, made up of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence, teamed up with the American Express live stream music series American Express UNSTAGED for their Los Angeles show on Sept. 29. The packed show at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, which was executive produced by The Late Late Show host James Corden, marked their first live show featuring songs from the new album. Sam Smith is now shaking up the James Bond franchise with a full stream of his newly launched Spectre single, “Writing’s On The Wall.” The soundtrack single was co-written between Smith and Jimmy Napes, but it’s now been revealed that Disclosure assisted in producing the tune. The 34th edition of the British music annual awards The 2014 BRIT Awards were held on Feb. 19th. This year edition ceremony took place at The O2 Arena in London, hosted by James Corden saw Arctic Monkeys and One Direction both won the most awards.
