The Czars frontman turned solo artist John Grant is set to follow his 2013 effort Pale Green Ghosts with a brand new record called Grey Tickles, Black Pressure. The album was recorded in Dallas with John Congleton (St. Vincent, Swans) and features the same creative arrangements, existential lyrics and timeless songwriting that Grant’s fans have grown accustomed to. In a press release, Grant explained that the album title refers to an Icelandic phrase. “'Grey tickles' is the literal translation from Icelandic for 'mid-life crisis', while 'black pressure' is the direct translation from Turkish for 'nightmare,'” he said in a statement. The album is streaming in full exclusively via The Guardian, or stream to it below.
Grey Tickles, Black Pressure is out on 10/9/15 via Bella Union. Pre-order on iTunes/Amazon
