U2 Will Play On Jimmy Fallon’s The Tonight Show Premiere

The Oscars nominee and the Golden Globes winner U2 has been listed as the first musical guest on Jimmy Fallon’s upcoming and new late-night show The Tonight Show on its show premiere next month.
It has been confirmed by Fallon music booker Jonathan Cohen via his Twitter.

Jimmy Fallon will steps over Jay Leno position on the show while his current Late Night will take over by Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Updater Seth Meyers. The show scheduled to premiere on Feb. 17 on NBC and Will Smith also will be Fallon first guest.

U2 just received an Oscars nomination for their song “Ordinary Love” from the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, this March. Last week they won the Best Original Song on Golden Globes. The Irish rockers have are rumored to be releasing their first studio album in nearly five years this April.
