Hear Dave Grohl & Krist Novoselic Talk Nirvana’s In Utero Memories

Nirvana’s two surviving members, Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, recall their time recording what would be the band’s last studio album, In Utero. This week marks the 20 year anniversary of the album. NPR’s All Songs Considered has done a lengthy interview with both of them about the recording of the album and the experience of working with the producer of the album Steve Albini, whose production on records by the Pixies, the Breeders, and the Jesus Lizard were a famous influence on the band and the record itself. Krist Novoselic recalled In Utero was a testament their late singer Kurt Cobain artistic vision and how he express themselves. Plus, they share some unreleased tracks “Forgotten Tune” on the collection teased at the very end. Listen their 40 minutes discussion below, the audio also available for download:
