Watch Fred Armisen’s SNL Farewell With Steve Jones, Kim Gordon, J Mascis, Carrie Brownstein, Aimee Mann

Saturday Night Live season finale was notable for its final appearances by a number of soon-to-be-former castmembers, including, in all likelihood, Fred Armisen.

Armisen who reprised his Ian Rubbish punk character with a live band that included Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols, Dinosaur Jr’s J Mascis, Portlandia co-star and former Sleater-Kinney member and now Wild Flag’s Carrie Brownstein, and husband-and-wife duo Aimee Mann and Michael Penn.

The live band featured as super-group of indie rock stars joining Armisen on stage for what appeared to be a send-off. Armisen who played his rock band character Ian Rubbish, leading a band featuring two other departing SNL staffers Bill Hader and Jason Sudeikis. Them all play a song “I’ve Had A Lovely Night.” Watch below.
