Carrie Brownstein, of Wild Flag, Sleater-Kinney, and “Portlandia” fame, stars in a new 30 seconds of American Express Ad. She depicts various sorts of goofy characters using their AmEx cards. First she's a nerdy businessperson buying ice cream, then she teaches sitar, shops for records, and, finally, buys groceries with her fictional children. AmEx pegs her as a “sketch comedy master". “I'm Carrie Brownstein,” she says at the end, “and I get to be whoever I want.”
