Watch Matt Sorum Sit In With The 8G Band On Seth Meyers

This week episode of the Late Night with Seth Meyers will featured former Velvet Revolver and Guns N’ Roses drummer Matt Sorum sits in with Meyers house band The 8G Band. Sorum will drumming couple of tune and songs all week long as the program went into and out of commercial breaks. Sorum currently a drummer of all-star band Kings Of Chaos which also featuring his bandmates from GnR and Velvet Revolver’s Duff McKagan and Gilby Clarke, and also been linking to be a drummer for GnR since the band recently announced to headline this year Coachella music festival. Guns N’ Roses Confirmed Coachella, Watch Reunion Tour Video Teaser

After being rumored to reunite in this year’s Coachella Music And Arts Festival, the version of Guns N’ Roses featuring Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan has been officially confirmed to headline the festival which will take place over two weekends, Apr. 15-17 and Apr. 22-24, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. GnR will play two concerts at Coachella on Apr. 16 and 23. Slash and McKagan have both shared the same Coachella announcement image featuring the GnR bullet logo against a desert backdrop on their Facebook pages. Rose also later tweets confirming the band participation on the festival. Also reuniting for Coachella is LCD Soundsystem and others scheduled of making return are Of Monsters And Men, Foals, Halsey, James Bay, Rancid, M83, and more. Tickets go on sale Wednesday, 1/6 at 11AM PST via Coachella.com.

Guns N’ Roses Reportedly Reuniting At Coachella Next Year

Axl Rose and Slash haven’t performed together in over 20 years, but it looks like they’re ready to reunite on tour next year. Billboard confirms via “multiple sources” that original version of Guns N’ Roses will headline the Coachella music festival scheduled for Apr. 15-17 and 22-24 and followed by “as many as 25 football stadiums in North America in the summer of 2016.” They’re also slated to be one of the first acts to perform at the brand-new Las Vegas Arena, which will open 4/6/16. These shows would mark Rose and Slash’s first performances together since Use Your Illusion Tour concert in Buenos Aires in 7/17/93.

Guns N’ Roses’ debut album, Appetite For Destruction, was a pivotal moment in rock history. With Guns N’ Roses — vocalist Axl Rose, guitarists Slash and Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Steven Adler — rock music rediscovered its edge, rage and sense of danger. Guns N’ Roses rank alongside a handful of hard-rock bands with punk-rock attitudes — including The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith and AC/DC — that shook and shocked the world. Guns N’ Roses formed in Los Angeles in 1985 and Appetite for Destruction, which was released on Geffen Records two years later, would ultimately enjoy a 147-week run on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 1991, Guns N’ Roses released two volumes of Use Your Illusion on the same day. It was a remarkable outpouring of music, totaling 30 tracks on two CDs. Use Your Illusion I and II each sold 7 million copies and reached Number Two and Number One, respectively. By 1997 only Axl Rose remained from the original Guns N’ Roses. However, a rather stable lineup has existed under his leadership since the late Nineties and released Chinese Democracy in 2008. Guns N’ Roses The Spaghetti Incident? Turns 20

The Spaghetti Incident?, the last album for the actual lineup of Guns N’ Roses turned 20 years old this week since released in Nov. 23, 1993 via Geffen Records. The album basically is a cover album and comprises covers of older punk rock and hard rock songs. The album marked the last to feature guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum (Before Axl Rose wheeled himself with bunch of lineup changing.)

There is an 'incident' beyond the album title which is knew that was an inside joke referring to a food fight between Rose and their before Sorum’ drummer Steven Adler. Much was made of this food fight during Adler’s lawsuit against the band in 1993, in which he attorney referred to it as “the Spaghetti Incident.” In that years as punk albums go, The Spaghetti Incident? lacks righteous anger and rage. As Guns N’ Roses albums go, it’s a complete delight, returning to the ferocious, hard-rocking days of Appetite for Destruction. The Gunners play Stooges and New York Dolls songs exactly as they do Nazareth - as straight-ahead, driving riff-rockers. After the epic Use Your Illusions, the band sounds like it’s having fun, not caring about making “art” like “November Rain” or “Estranged.” Unfortunately, the tacked-on Charles Manson song leaves a bad aftertaste, but not because of the song itself; the inclusion of the song seems like a publicity-seeking stunt, a way to increase their sales while trying to regain their street credibility. And as The Spaghetti Incident? proves, they didn't need to stoop so low.
