Jeremy Gara – “Divinity”

Arcade Fire drummer Jeremy Gara has announced his first solo album, Limn will be out in March. The album was self-produced and recorded while Gara was on tour. “Divinity” is the record’s lead single, and it’s a gentle four-and-a-half-minute instrumental that also serves as the album’s opening track. Sarah Neufeld – “The Ridge”

Arcade Fire’s violinist Sarah Neufeld will release a solo album early next year titled The Ridge. Neufeld released the LP’s debut single and title track today, which features fellow Arcade Fire member Jeremy Gara on drums. Listen to the track below.

Arcade Fire have by the looks of it given their permission to Universal Pictures for the use of “Rebellion (Lies)” in a tv spot, as it’s being referred to, for the upcoming film Steve Jobs. The Aaron Sorkin-written, Danny Boyle-directed, Michael Fassbender-starring Steve Jobs is out next week. Watch it below.

Arcade Fire were releasing a deluxe reissue of their Reflektor album, set to accompany their new tour-documentary movie The Reflektor Tapes. The reissue includes six previously-unreleased bonus tracks. The new songs include the rockabilly “Apocrypha” and the reggae-influenced “Women Of A Certain Age,” as well as a straight-up dub reggae remix of “Flashbulb Eyes.” Listent to the expanded Reflektor, with the six bonus tracks included in full below via Spotify.

Arcade Fire Set To Perform 1st YouTube Music Awards

YouTube is will kick off the red carpet for its first-ever annual music awards show. The popular video platform website has booked Arcade Fire and several artists to perform at the event scheduled for November 3rd. Spike Jonze, director-producer of numerous music videos, has set to direct the show that night. Actor and former Phantom Planet drummer Jason Schwartzman will host the show. The show will present winners for six award categories, the nominees to be announced in October 17, based entirely from viewer votes. The 90-minute live event, backed by Kia Motors as the title sponsor, will take place at Pier 36 in New York. Watch the announcement video of the awards below:

Watch Arcade Fire Post-SNL Concert Here Comes The Night Time

After performed “Reflektor” and “Afterlife” on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, Arcade Fire, as musical guest on the night, stay up to do a half-hour Arcade Fire concert special called Here Comes The Night Time airs on NBC on the same set. On the show, the band debuted three more songs, “Here Comes The Night Time,” “We Exist,” and “Normal Person.” With the cool opening, surprising cameos from Bono, Rainn Wilson, Ben Stiller, Michael Cera, James Franco, Aziz Ansari, Eric Wareheim, Bill Hader, and Zach Galifianakis. Arcade Fire was a musical guest on last night 39th season premiere of Saturday Night Live, hosting by Tina Fey. The band played Reflektor album titled-track (with Colin Stetson and Owen Pallett) and debuted a new track “Afterlife.” Before the musical slot, the band appeared early in a sketch when they did a fake game show called “New Cast Member Or Arcade Fire?” where frontman Win Butler did a Robert De Niro impression. Arcade Fire To Perform SNL Premiere

NBC recently announced the guests of their long running show Saturday Night Live for season premiere on its 39th season. The season will be premiere and broadcast on Sept. 28 and will be hosted by actress Tina Fey and Arcade Fire will be the musical guest. The band have been played on SNL for past six years since they debut on the show in 2007. It will be fourth times for the band since their last appearing on the show on Mick Jagger night in May 2012.
