The Arcs – “Young”

Back in September, The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach new band The Arcs released their debut album Yours, Dreamily. The Arcs wasted no time following that full-length up with an EP. Auerbach teamed up with Los Lobos frontman David Hidalgo and Dr. John to create The Arcs Vs. The Inventors, a six-song 10″ that’s slated to be released as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday extravaganza. “Young” was the first single we’re hearing off of the EP. Listen below.

A few weeks ago Dan Auerbach’s new The Black Keys side project The Arcs released their first album, Yours, Dreamily, and the band appeared on Colbert’s Late Show to perform their bluesy single “Outta My Mind.” In a skit for the show, Auerbach also chats about his biggest musical influence, a fake blind bluesman named Blind Freddy Blindman, and performs a short song from Blindman’s equally fake album Seein’ Ain’t Believin’. Chef Anthony Bourdain featured The Black Keys in a segment on the newest airing of his show Anthony Bourdain : No Reservations on Travel Channel. Bourdain would enjoy some fine barbecue with the boys from Akron as they discussed working crappy jobs in kitchen, touring and more.
